Small Business Saturday: What It Is and Where to Find the Best Deals
While last Friday was about huge deals from big stores in celebration of the Black Friday Sale, last Saturday was about the local shops. Small Business Saturday celebrated its 6 years nationwide and more retailers were on board this time with many special deals, giveaways, and fun activities for the kids.
Metro stores displayed unique gifts; from shirts to jewelries. There are a wide range of selections that you can choose from.
Judy Mills of Mills Record Company said, “Your best vote is where you spend your money. I like to source locally, I like to support people who live in my neighborhood.”
What Small Business Saturday is about?
Starting a business is hard, but staying in the business is harder. Sarah Douglas from Kansas City opened her shop some 80 years ago. She said that although it was a challenge for her, it was also equally fun and wonderful.
Small Business Saturday is about supporting local shops. It’s a way of showing support to the people, their livelihood, and the local community that you live in.
