Amazon Deals on Black Friday

If you’ve visited Amazon on Black Friday, you’d be surprised to know that you can purchase the two Nexus smartphones for just a small amount of money. Nexus 5X, the latest handset collaborated by LG and Google, is available for only $299 for its 16 GB version. Furthermore, if you want the smartphone that has a much higher capacity, Nexus 5X 32 GB model is priced at $349.99.

However, if Nexus 5X doesn’t cut your budget, then there’s Nexus 6 that you can buy. Although the device was previously priced too high, the smartphone is currently available for only $199 for the 32 GB model. It also has a 64 GB model priced at $259.99 for those who want a higher storage capacity.

The Google Nexus Android Marshmallow Update

Although the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is pre-loaded on the new Nexus devices, it is set to roll out to the existing devices in the Google Nexus lineup shortly. Google recently published a “factory image” download files for the Marshmallow update of Nexus 6 and other nexus line-ups, including Nexus 7 and Nexus 9. These files will allow users to install the latest Android update manually on their devices. According to Google’s official blog, the over-the-air rollout for the update is currently in motion.

New models, such as Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, on the other hand, will be shipped with Android 6.0 straight from the factory. The Android Marshmallow is the smartest version of Android to date. It has Tap services that would assist the user anytime they need it. It also has battery-smart features that are said to increase the battery life. Moreover, there are also new app permissions that would give you more control.

According to Google, aside from being enticed with the new Nexus 5X and 6P, we should keep our eyes peeled for new devices that would be shipped with Android Marshmallow. They also acknowledged how most of us take our devices at work and thus work-related features are to be expected. Aside from that, they also improved the security features in response to cyber and phone hacking issues, among others.

Which Smartphone should you Purchase?

With the new Android Marshmallow that has a number of improvements; it would be difficult to decide which smartphone to buy. But, if you are looking to buy a handset that has large sized screen, then the 6-inch Nexus 6 might just be perfect for you. However, if you are more on the “performance”, then you should go for Nexus 5X. Aside from a promise of a better performance, you’ll be able to capture images that have far better quality compared to the previous version.
