Neurology Resident Attacked Uber Driver
It has been reported that a fourth-year old resident of neurology in Florida got suspended after a video surfaced of him assaulting an Uber driver physically and verbally before trashed his car and threw his possessions out to the streets.
The YouTube video was viewed over 3 million times since Tuesday. According to its description, some had called and booked for an Uber when the woman got inside the back seat and refused to get out, demanding a ride elsewhere. Reports say that the video was captured right after she got out of the car and got into an argument with the driver.
According to WSVN in Miami, the video that was taken Saturday showed Dr. Anjali Ramkissoon who was also reported to be in the brink of losing her job at the Jackson Health System.
The almost five-minute long video shows a woman shouting at the driver and kneeing and slapping him. There was a point when she demanded for the driver to get in the car. But when the driver refused, she began throwing his belongings to the street.
When the driver called 911, he said the woman attacked him. She can be heard yelling, “I am a 5-foot girl that weighs 100 pounds… I am getting, like, really belligerent right now, so.”
As the video concluded, the woman can be seen walking off while saying “good night”. According to the YouTube description, the Uber driver accepted a settlement. WSVN said the police arrived but the driver declined to press charges against the woman.
Uber has told WSVN that the woman’s account was suspended: “Uber expects everyone in our community to treat each other with respect and common courtesy, and we have a zero tolerance policy for all forms of harassment and abuse. We have suspended this rider’s account as we investigate the incident.”
