What are the New Changes on Instagram?
One of the many ways to keep an app interesting is to make some changes, no matter how little. This is why if you haven’t been keeping up, you might have missed a lot. Instagram, for example, has made 4 changes this week in terms of their algorithms and features. The updates they’ve released will change how you use and see the app.
While the new algorithm is still being released to the users starting this week, your viewing experience will definitely be tailored according to your interests and the accounts that you are highly committed to. It is somewhat similar to Facebook where you can see what’s most important, rather than what’s the latest. In other words, it isn’t in chronological order anymore. And although that’s the case, you will still see the recent posts of the people you follow; but in a different order. Thus, you won’t miss anything at all.
You may have noticed a lot of “Turn me on” graphics recently on Instagram with arrows that point to the upper right corner of your screen. This is because by doing so, you’d be able to secure someone’s feed with the new algorithm.
You won’t be worried about being cut off anymore as Instagram videos will be 1 minute long; long enough to record about half of the song, a commercial, or a cooking demo. With your imagination, you may be able to create an inspiring video to share to your followers.
Instagram is now offering a feature that allows users to crop several videos and join them together in one post through the app itself, instead of using another app for editing. Thus, it gives you an opportunity to tell your story in a creative way; which is basically what social media apps are for.
