Radio Fiji Gold started back in 1995 with a target audience from 35 – 60 yrs old .

Barry Ferber came in 95 on a three years contract to head the then Radio Fiji Commission he set a format in music which plays only the hits from 60’s 70’s 80’s 90’s and today which is mainly adult contemporary. These songs are mainly your favorites and have what we like to call the Gold sound.

During the later times of the 90’s, Radio Fiji Gold had played host to legends like Kahmal and a few international artists who have graced our shores.

Radio Fiji Gold had done promotions which involved the community, some notable examples are: The Gold Heart week, The Community Awareness week, Road Awareness week, even Involving Radio with organizations like Crime Stoppers and in local Music Awards Nights.

Radio Fiji Gold has been part of the community not only for the hit music they play but they produced house hold names. DJs like Bernadette Rounds, Semi Koroi, DJ Green, Natalie Edwards, James Bhagwan and Neil Foon to name a few.
