Ted Mann will officially welcome volunteers

THE US Embassy’s Deputy Chief of Mission Ted Mann will officially welcome a new group of 26 American Peace Corps volunteers at a swearing in ceremony on Thursday.

The trainees have gone through intensive language cultural and technical pre service training in Buretu Daku Kiuva Muana I Ra Naivakacau and Tumavia ahead of two years of volunteer service.

Fijian and Indo Fijian families living in villages and settlements in and around those areas hosted the trainees during the training period.

Over 2,200 volunteers have served in Fiji, with 57 volunteers currently serving on two projects in the country.
