Naiqama, Uate and Tadulala out of trialsTuesday, September 29, 2009
Vodafone Fiji Bati captain to last yeas Rugby League World Cup Wes Naiqama, sensational wingers Akuila Uate and Semi Tadulala plus Mike Ratu will not feature in the trials between the Australian Fijians and local Fiji Bati this week. The four first grad international however have booked a spot in the 22 member squad for the Vodafone Fiji Bati at the upcoming Pacific Cup. Naiqama says looking at the level of preparation he is confident of a stong squad being selected. “I’m here to offer my support and hope I can help in someway or another on the preparation of the team – the side has been preparing well and I am confident of good team being selected for next month’s Pacific Cup." Meanwhile Australian Fijians Coach Daryl Neville has selected a strong squad to face the local Bati’s in the first of two test match’s on Wednesday. In the squad are Fiji Bati reps Ryan Millard, Puna Rasaubale, James Lagiloa and a few other players who made the trials for the world cup in Kevin Naiqama, Joe Swamy, Tabua Cakacaka and a few others.
