Taxis still over-charging tourists says AG

Taxi operators have, again, come under fire for over-charging tourists.

Tourism Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum revealed in Lautoka last weekend that a tourist couple were charged eighty dollars in taxi fares just for a short tour.

 Sayed-Khaiyum says municipal councils can take the cue from the Savusavu Town Council to stop these taxi operators from over charging the tourists.

Tourists have been over-charged by crooked cab drivers in almost all towns and cities throughout the country.
