The named Uto Ni Yalo is one of seven similar outriggers, one each for Maori, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, American Samoa, Tahiti and the Marquasis Islands that will all sail together in March 2010 for Honolulu. The idea behind the trip is to tell the world the concern we in the Pacific have about the effect of development to the living things in our oceans which forms a major percentage of the food we eat. A member of the committee of the project in Fiji Manoa Rasigatale told FBC News the launch tomorrow morning will be followed by a trip by the contestants of the South Pacific Pageant.
