Irelands Keith Earls scores against Fiji Taken from / By: BBC Sports

The Flying Fijians was trounced by the six nations champions, Ireland 41-6 in the one off test match at Royal Dublin Showgrounds this morning.

Fiji failed to score a try but only managed two penalties.

It was fly half Nicky Little who nailed in a penalty in the 27th minute of the first spell and found his second in the early stages of the second spell.

While the Irish pulled away in the second spell scoring four converted tries and a penalty.

Fiji lost the first test match 23-10 to Scotland last weekend and again this morning.

Fiji Rugby Union Board Chairman, Viliame Gavoka says despite two losses they were happy with the team’s performance and the debutants who were exposed to the international arena.

“We can’t compare Ireland and Fiji but I am happy with the team’s performance especially for the new players who have gained exposure and their knowledge , skills of rugby in the international arena has now broadened especially for the 2011 Rugby World Cup. We though we had the opportunity to score tries but unfortunately we failed to finish it off, basic mistakes gave away these opportunities.”

Meanwhile in other matches South Africa scored four tries to beat Italy 32-10 for their first win of their European tour.

Bryan Habana, Jacque Fourie, Fourie Du Preez and Wynand Olivier all touched down for the world champions.

Morne Steyn kicked 10 points while substitute Ruan Pienaar added a late conversion to make it eight games without defeat against Italy.

Gonzalo Garcia scored Italy's lone try, which Craig Gower converted and later added a penalty.

Springboks coach Peter de Villiers said he was pleased with his team's performance after last week's 20-13 defeat in France as they look ahead to next weekend's clash with Ireland.

And a much-improved performance from England was not enough to prevent New Zealand pulling away in the second half to a 19-6 win  at Twickenham.

Two penalties apiece from Dan Carter and Johnny Wilkinson made it 6-6 after an even first half .

But the All Blacks then upped their game and, after Carter had edged the All Blacks ahead with a third penalty, Jimmy Cowan scored the decisive try.

Carter converted and added a late penalty to guide the All Blacks home.

Wales defeated Argentina 33-16.
