Rugby guru's call for team weaknesses to be ironed outMonday, November 23, 2009
Rugby gurus have called on the National XV’s Coaching panel to iron out all weaknesses before the final match against Romania this Sunday. Nadroga Coach, Esala Nauga believes the team must work on it’s set pieces and scrums in order to do better. Nauga says local players must be given the opportunity to travel with the team for exposure. The stallions mentor believes it is only fair that local based players get selected into the team for exposure as we are on the road to the 2011 Rugby World Cup. Northland Coach, Watisoni Ratulevu says the results showed there was lack of development along the process. This is an area which needs to be enforced before the World Cup. Meanwhile, national selector Mosese Taga says timing was not enough to prepare the team for international matches. Taga says there was a big difference shown yesterday despite the 6-41 hiding from the Irish. The Flying Fijians now prepare for the final test match against Romania this Sunday.
