People continue to flock to the groundsMonday, November 23, 2009
People continue to make their way to Albert Park to catch a glimpse of the south pacific pageant contestants and to also check out some of the programs that pageant has to offer. FBC NEWS took to the streets to find out how members of the public are enjoying this year’s pageant and what they generally think about the South Pacific Pageant. “I’m glad that there is a lot happening at this year’s pageant… especially the community effort that’s been put in by the people from the participating countries.. even here at the Fiji Arts village…and you…know…you get to see a lot of the culture that is found her in the Pacific...and it’s great!” While many people are enjoying the festivities at Albert Park-one woman thought that there could have more publicity being put up especially for a grand event like South Pacific Pageant. “ it’s great and all but I think that there could have at least been more publicity been up concerning the SPP… I mean from the West and when we came there was like only one side of Suva that rocking while the other side was like…dead as if there was nothing happening at all.. so…we were like what’s wrong Suva City?” Tonight is Melanesian/ Micronesian night with a special program on Climate Change and the effect that it is having on the Pacific.
