 Fiji has already forwarded Lieutenant Colonel Neumi Leweni’s name. Taken from / By: FBC Permanent secretary for Foreign Affairs Solo Mara confirmed the Fiji Government is considering these options after the issue was broached at the recent foreign affairs ministers meeting. Fiji has already forwarded Lieutenant Colonel Neumi Leweni’s name to be Fiji’s first councilor in Wellington. However Mara says the appointment of Fiji’s Councilor is still in the Pipeline. Meanwhile Peter Thomson has been confirmed to be Fiji’s new permanent representative to the United Nations in New York.
