Police continue search for robbers

Tuesday, February 09, 2010

Police are still looking for three masked men who allegedly went on a robbery spree yesterday.

They threatened a shop owner at Moti Street in Samabula with a kitchen knife and stole Australian and New Zealand currencies together with jewelleries valued at $14,000.

They then drove off in his vehicle a grey Honda CRV registration number EZ.172.

Police say the three then changed the number plate of the vehicle to EZ.472 and took it to New World Supermarket in Narere – where they broke in and walked away with $29,000 cash.

They were armed with stones, threatened the cashier.

The vehicle is still missing as police continue their investigation.
