There is an uproar in New Zealand after sweet biscuit maker Griffin’s revealed for the first time that some of its favorite sweet biscuit brands are being produced in Fiji.

Trade unions, politicians and the New Zealand public have been expressing their dismay at Griffin’s moves to take the production of the nation’s favorite biscuits to Fiji.

Their main concern, being the job losses and the lost revenue for the New Zealand government.

Griffin’s is not the only Kiwi institution that has outsourced to other countries – Cadbury’s chocolate has outsourced to Thailand and Australia.

This also shows that Fiji is a good place to do business.
